Use a country code
When calling from abroad, it's important to add the correct country code in front of a phone number. Example: 0612345678 becomes 0031612345678 or +31612345678.

Question?
Answer
I can’t call certain people
I can’t call certain people
If you can’t reach specific contacts, they may not be available.
It’s also possible you accidentally blocked that phone number. Check this in your contacts list. Depending on whether you have an Android phone or iPhone, this setting can be in different places. Check your phone's manual if needed.
Some phones let you only call certain numbers. This is called “fixed dialing numbers” (FDN). Turn this off to make calls to everyone.

I can’t call 0800 or 0900 numbers
I can’t call 0800 or 0900 numbers
If you can’t make outgoing calls to 0800 or 0900 numbers, check in Mijn Simyo under Settings whether “Calling service numbers” is enabled.
On your invoice, you’ll see costs for 0900 calls split into two:
- Traffic costs (minutes within your bundle, no extra cost)
- Service costs (set by the company you’re calling)
For the Dutch police number (0900-8844), you pay the local rate.
Entertainment numbers
To protect you from high costs, calling entertainment numbers like 0909 or 0906 is blocked by default. Want access? Please contact our

How does Wi-Fi calling work?
How does Wi-Fi calling work?
With Simyo, you can also make calls over Wi-Fi. This is called VoWiFi (Voice over Wi-Fi). You call using a Wi-Fi network, at home or work, for example. Wi-Fi calling doesn’t use MBs from your mobile data bundle. Just like 4G calling, the minutes are taken from your call bundle or credit. Do you have Prepaid with an internet bundle? Then the minutes come from your credit. Just like you’re used to.
