Unable to make calls or send texts and think your service has been disconnected? There could be several reasons.
Tip: First try turning your phone off and then on again. This could fix the issue.
No call credit
Can't make calls with your prepaid SIM card? Check if you have any calling credit left. If you have no calling credit left, top up your account. Your SIM card will be reactivated after you top up. Tip: Restart your phone five minutes after topping up. This will ensure that your activated SIM card reconnects to the network.
An inactive replacement SIM card
Log in to Mijn Simyo to activate your replacement SIM card. Under the heading Instellingen > Simkaart (Settings > SIM card), you will find the option 'Activeer je nieuwe simkaart' (Activate your new SIM card). Enter your new SIM card number to activate it.
You haven't used your SIM card for more than six months
To continue using your Prepaid SIM card, you have to make a call or send a text message once every six months. After five and a half months, we will send you an email as a reminder. If you still don't use the SIM card after that, your number will be disconnected. Reactivating the connection or keeping the phone number won't be possible. If you wish, you can purchase a new
Prepaid SIM card
.
You switched to another provider
Did you switch to another provider while keeping your phone number? Then you can no longer use your Simyo SIM card. You can contact your new provider if your SIM card is not working.
