Sim Only, the name says it all: you only get a SIM card . You choose this type of subscription if you already have a reliable phone. This way you keep your monthly costs low, a big difference compared to Prepaid . And because you don’t “borrow” a phone, a Sim Only contract isn’t seen as a loan. A big plus!

Still have a good phone? Choose a Sim Only subscription from Simyo and you’ll also get a reliable network. Anyone who chooses Simyo makes calls and uses internet on the KPN network.

At Simyo, you can use 5G, 4G and the 2G network from KPN. The maximum download speed for 5G internet is 300 Mbps, with an upload speed of 150 Mbps. In practice, the speed depends on your phone type, coverage , and network traffic. Is your phone not suitable for 5G? No worries, you’ll automatically use our fast 4G network.

From December 2027, 2G will be switched off. You’ll need a 4G or 5G phone to call and stay online.

• All prices include VAT.

• Call minutes, text messages and data is valid for 1 calendar month.
• Simyo rounds data usage to the nearest kB.
• All listed amounts include VAT.

Out-of-bundle costs

At Simyo, you pay € 0.31 per minute or SMS when your call minutes are used up and you call outside your bundle.

If you don’t have a data bundle, or your bundle has run out, you pay € 0.15 per MB. If your bundle is used up, you can easily buy extra data in Mijn Simyo. 500 MB costs € 5.

Bundle changes

• You may change to higher or lower bundles each month. You’ll switch to the bundles and rates valid at that moment.
• Switching to a different subscription type means you’ll receive any discounts belonging to the new type of subscription, while losing discounts on your old one.

Bundle usage

• Calls within the Netherlands to mobile, landline, voicemail, and SMS are included.
• Calls are rounded up per whole minute.
• SMS are charged per message of max. 160 characters.
• Remaining bundle credit does not roll over.
• Outside your bundle, you pay € 0.31 per minute/SMS.
• Usage abroad and calls to service numbers have different rates.
• If our system detects you’ve used more than €100 in 24 hours or €250 in a week outside your bundle, your connection is blocked to prevent high costs. You can reactivate it by making a partial payment. There’s some delay in usage processing (up to 4 hours in the Netherlands, 36 hours abroad). Any extra costs above the limit are still owed.

Value bundles

• Bundles like internet or SMS can be changed or cancelled monthly.
• Unlimited SMS is valid only from NL to Dutch numbers.
• With an internet bundle, you can buy extra data, valid until month’s end.
• Internet outside your bundle costs € 0.15 per MB, billed per KB.

Other

• If you end your annual contract early, a buyout scheme applies. This means that the cost of the bundle, as agreed in the yearly subscription, multiplied by the remaining months, will be charged after cancellation.
