How do Simyo bundles work?

At Simyo, you can choose bundles for both Prepaid and subscription plans. With Prepaid, you don’t have a fixed bundle, so you can purchase bundles whenever you need them. If you use mobile data and make calls every month, a Sim Only plan or a subscription with a phone may be a better fit for you.

With Simyo, you can choose call and data bundles with your Sim Only plan. You can also select a call-only bundle. Ordering an internet bundle without a call bundle is not possible.

When do my bundles start?

When do my bundles start?

Simyo bundles always start on the first day of the calendar month. Leftover minutes and MBs expire at the end of the month. Changed your bundle? Your new bundle will be activated on the first day of the following month. If you activate an internet bundle for the first time, you can use it right away.

Your bundles are valid in the Netherlands and in all Zone 1 countries. Do you want affordable internet while traveling outside the EU? Then activate one of our special international bundles, available for the ten most popular travel destinations.

Dataplafond (data cap)

You can set a 'dataplafond' (data cap) to use the internet without worry. Once your data bundle is used up, your connection stops automatically. Please note: this limit only works in the Netherlands and roaming Zone 1.

With Simyo, you can switch your bundles monthly. Your new bundle will start on the 1st of the following month. When you first joined Simyo, you could select from the bundles and prices available at that time. Those are still the bundles you can choose from today, although inflation correction may apply. When you renew, you can again choose from the current bundles and prices.

You can view and change your bundles anytime in Mijn Simyo. You can also download your original price list for a full overview.

Buy an extra Simyo bundle

Is your call or internet bundle almost used up? Or do you simply need more data this month? With Simyo you can always purchase extra bundles. These are valid in the Netherlands and across the EU. More info about EU roaming can be found here .

How do I buy an extra bundle?

You can purchase extra minutes or MBs through Mijn Simyo or in the Mijn Simyo app . You can also directly buy 500 MB for €5 by sending an SMS with “500 MB on” to 1330.

Until when is my extra bundle valid?

With a Sim Only plan, your extra bundle is valid until the end of the calendar month. For example, if you purchase in January, your bundle will expire on February 1st.

What if I need more internet every month?

Do you regularly need more data? Then increase your bundle in Mijn Simyo. You can lower it again the following month if you like.

With Prepaid, you can also purchase internet bundles. If you often use mobile data, this is a cheaper option.

The maximum 5G download speed is 300 Mbps, and the upload speed is 150 Mbps. Actual speeds may vary depending on your mobile phone model, coverage, and network usage in your area.

Is your phone not 5G capable? No problem. You will automatically connect to our reliable 4G network.

Did you activate a Prepaid internet bundle for one month? It will start right away and is valid for exactly one month. For example: if you activate it on July 20, it will be valid until August 20. You can also set your bundle to renew automatically together with automatic top-up in Mijn Simyo.

What if my bundle runs out in the EU?

If your bundle is used up in Zone 1, EU roaming rates apply. You can buy more data or minutes in Mijn Simyo or the Mijn Simyo app , just like in the Netherlands.

We will also send you a text message when your bundle is almost empty .

Can I carry over my unused minutes or MBs?

No, all Simyo bundles run from the first to the last day of the calendar month. Any unused minutes and data expire at the end of the month.

Do you often have a lot left? Then you can lower your bundles via Mijn Simyo .

When will my Sim Only bundle be activated?

If you did not request number porting, your bundles will start as soon as you activate your Simyo SIM card in Mijn Simyo .

Number porting
Have you requested number transfer? Then your bundles will only start once your phone number has been successfully moved to Simyo. This way, you won’t end up paying for two subscriptions at the same time.

If you use your SIM card before your number has been transferred, any outgoing calls, texts, and data usage will be charged at the out-of-bundle rate .

Tip: On Mijn Simyo and in the Mijn Simyo app , you can check your bundle usage anytime. You’ll also see the exact date and time your usage was last updated.

Can I order a data-only plan?

No, it’s not possible to order a subscription with only a data bundle. When you take out a Sim Only plan with Simyo, you can choose to add a data bundle as well. But you’ll always have a call bundle on your Simyo SIM card.

Why do I see extra costs if my bundle is not used up yet?

Sometimes you may see charges even if you thought you still had some of your bundle left. Possible reasons are:

  • Your number porting is not completed yet.
  • You used services that are not included in your bundle.

Are you a new customer? In your first month you may pay a bit more, since your first invoice includes both a part of the current month and the following month.

When can I buy more minutes or MBs?

At any time. You can purchase bundles whenever you need more.

How do I buy extra minutes or MBs?

On Mijn Simyo or the Mijn Simyo app . Or, send an SMS with “500 MB on” to 1330 to instantly purchase 500 MB for € 5.

When will my extra minutes or data be active?

The extra minutes or data are activated right away. After placing your order, you’ll receive a confirmation email. Under the Overview tab, the extra minutes will be added to your call bundle balance. You can keep track of your usage in Mijn Simyo or the Mijn Simyo app.

Have you already incurred out-of-bundle charges? Please note that your extra minutes or data will not be applied retroactively.

Why can’t I buy 500 MB?

Can’t make calls with your Simyo SIM card either? Then it’s a good idea to check the status of your SIM in Mijn Simyo . Is your SIM blocked due to loss, theft, or an unpaid invoice? In the first two cases, you can reactivate your SIM yourself. If it’s an unpaid invoice, you can pay it directly and we’ll unblock your SIM as soon as possible.

Not an issue with your SIM? Check whether you’ve already purchased 500 MB earlier this month, as you may have reached the limit. If that’s not the case, there could be a temporary outage preventing you from buying more data.
