Welcome to Simyo! If your phone supports eSIM, the digital SIM card, you can start using it right away. We’ll guide you step by step through the installation and activation process.
Before you start, check if your phone is compatible and ready for eSIM setup:
Check our phone list to see if your smartphone supports eSIM.
Make sure you are connected to a stable Wi-Fi internet connection.
Download the Mijn Simyo app on your phone in advance.
You selected eSIM when placing your order.
You have not activated or installed your eSIM before.
Note: Did you request number porting? Please wait with activation until your phone number has been transferred to Simyo.
To download your eSIM, you need the Mijn Simyo app . Log in with the account details we sent you by email after your purchase.
Note: download the app on the phone where you want to use an eSIM.
Tap 'Aan de slag' (Get started) in the app. You’ll see a page where you can download and view your contract. Once you’ve checked it, tap 'Bevestig je contract' (Confirm your contract).
Done? Then you can immediately start to download your new eSIM profile.
During the installation, your phone will ask for your permission to set up the eSIM. Once you confirm, your phone will start to install the eSIM profile automatically.
Complete the process by restarting your device.
Your eSIM is now active and connected to the cellular network. You can remove your old physical SIM card from the sim card tray, no need to keep it anymore.
To download your eSIM profile you need the Mijn Simyo app . Log in with the details we emailed you after your order.
Note: install the app on the iPhone where you plan to activate the eSIM.
Tap 'Aan de slag' (Get started) in the app. On the next page you can download and check your contract. Then tap 'Bevestig je contract' (Confirm your contract).
Once confirmed, your new eSIM is ready to download.
If you select 'Twee simkaarten gebruiken' (Two SIM cards at the same time), iOS will show instructions on how to set your default line for calls and cellular data.
A new screen will open. You’ll see the text: 'Mijn Simyo wants to activate an eSIM on this iPhone'. Tap 'Continue'.
Next, you’ll see that you can activate an eSIM from KPN NL. Tap 'Continue' again. Your new eSIM profile will now download and install. This process may take a moment.
Restart your iPhone to complete the setup. Your Simyo eSIM is now successfully installed and activated on your phone. You can now remove your old physical SIM card from the sim tray.
