These are the conditions for a contract transfer at Simyo

Would you like to change the contract holder of your Simyo subscription? You can do this with a contract transfer, under these conditions:

  • The new contract owner must be 18 years or older

  • The contract transfer fee is € 15,00

  • All invoices of the current contract must be paid

  • Once the transfer is done, it cannot be reversed

  • A subscription with a phone can only be transferred if the phone has been paid off

How a contract transfer works at Simyo

Fill in the form together

Do you want to take over someone’s contract and do you meet the conditions? Fill in the form with the correct details. Make sure you both sign the form and include readable copies of your ID (Tip: use the official KopieID app for a safe copy of your ID).

Send to contractovername@simyo.nl

Send the form by email to contractovername@simyo.nl with the ID copies attached.

If you send the form before the 20th of the month, we will switch the subscription to the new contract owner on the 1st of the next month. If not, it will be one month later.

Example:
Did you send the form on April 19? Then the transfer will be completed on May 1. Did you send it on April 22? Then the transfer will be done on June 1.

Check the first monthly invoice after the transfer

Check the first invoice you receive. The transfer fee will be listed there, as well as the new plan costs for the new user. Sometimes, there can still be usage costs from the old contract. We ask both users to split these costs together.

Important to know

After the contract transfer, the new contract owner can log in to Mijn Simyo . There you may still see some old contract details, such as usage and invoice history. Invoices stay available for one year, and usage history is removed after six months.

Note: The contract PDF in Mijn Simyo is created only once at the start of the subscription. It cannot be changed after the transfer.

Can I change the name on my contract?

Yes, this is possible! For most changes, we need a copy of your ID. You can use the official CopyID app for a safe copy. Send your documents to klantenservice@simyo.nl with the following information:

  • Married: a copy of your ID and your marriage certificate. Do you have a subscription with a phone? Then the contract will stay under your birth name until the phone is paid off.
  • Divorced: a copy of your ID and your divorce certificate.
  • First name change: for example, if there is a spelling error on your account, send us a copy of your ID.
  • Other reasons: please contact our customer service for further assistance.

What is the minimum age for a Simyo subscription?

You must be at least 18 to have a Simyo subscription.

Not 18 yet and still want to become a customer?
Then only your parent(s) or guardian(s) can order for you. The name must match the bank account holder. The contract will then be in the name of your parent(s) or guardian.

Pay yourself
You can choose to pay the monthly bill yourself. Once you have access to Mijn Simyo , you can update the bank account under 'Instellingen' (Settings) > 'Persoonlijke gegevens' (Personal details). When you turn 18, you can transfer the contract to your own name.

Can I change the name on Simyo Prepaid?

Yes! For Prepaid we don’t call it a contract transfer, but you can change the registered name. Send us an email ( klantenservice@simyo.nl ) with a copy of the ID of both the old and new user. We will update the customer details for you.

How can I change my address?

Easy! Update your address in Mijn Simyo or the Mijn Simyo app . Go to Instellingen (Settings) > Persoonlijke gegevens (Personal details), click 'Wijzig' (Change) next to your address.

Enter your new postal code and house number. The street name and city will automatically appear. The green check marks on the side indicate that your address has been found. Now click on 'wijzig adres' (change address) to permanently update it.

Note: You can only register an address in the Netherlands.

How can I change my email address?

You can change your email address in Mijn Simyo under 'Instellingen' (Settings) > 'Persoonlijke gegevens' (Personal details). Click 'Wijzig' (Change) next to your email address.

Enter your new email twice to confirm, and click 'Wijzig e-mailadres' (Change email).
